Target hiring 200-plus seasonal employees in Huntsville

Target kicked off a major seasonal hiring push for over 200 roles, offering competitive benefits and pathways to permanent positions.

Target Corporation

Beginning Wednesday, Target is launching a major seasonal hiring push across Huntsville area stores and its local distribution center. The retailer aims to bring in over 200 new seasonal employees in store roles. Job-seekers can apply through TargetSeasonalJobs.com.

Seasonal hires at Target are eligible from day one for health, well-being, and financial benefits. That includes flexible scheduling, plus a 10 percent discount and an extra 20 percent off wellness items.

Target emphasizes that many seasonal roles evolve into longer-term opportunities. Last year, more than half of the seasonal store team was offered to stay on, and a sizable portion of supply chain seasonal workers transitioned to permanent roles. Nearly 20 percent of current field leaders began as hourly seasonal staff.

“The holidays are always a busy and exciting time for our Teams, and Seasonal hires play such an important role in helping us serve our Guests. We’re thrilled to be welcoming hundreds of new Team Members in Huntsville this year, and for many, this can be the start of a long-term career with Target,” said Buba Bangura, group vice president, Target – Huntsville.

Whether stocking shelves, fulfilling online orders, or assisting in store, seasonal team members will power Target’s efforts to simplify holiday shopping—through Order Pickup, Drive-Up, and in-store service.
