The Andrew Sneed for Congress campaign announced this week that it will hold a series of town halls across North Alabama aimed at encouraging participation from voters across the political spectrum and addressing issues affecting their communities.
The campaign said the series, titled “Hear Every Voice,” is intended to “encourage participation from voters on both sides of the aisle who are eager for this type of format and civic engagement.”
The first town hall will be held Monday, August 17, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Bynum Auditorium, 305 S. Scott St. in Scottsboro. U.S. Representative Dale Strong, R-Alabama, was invited to participate but declined, according to the campaign.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will be invited to ask questions about issues affecting Alabama’s 5th Congressional District. Former Republican state Representative Mike Ball will moderate the event.

Wednesday, August 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Turner-Surles Community Resource Center in Decatur. Ball will moderate.

Wednesday, September 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Athens State University’s McCandless Hall in Athens. A moderator has not yet been announced.

Tuesday, October 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bob Harrison Senior Wellness and Advocacy Center in Huntsville. Kenny Anderson will moderate.
