The ACLU of Alabama and Birmingham Indivisible announced this week that they are hosting “No Kings III,” a rally and march, on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Railroad Park in Birmingham (1600 1st Ave S) from 12 p.m to 2 p.m.

The No Kings III rally will feature speakers from the ACLU of Alabama, Bill Britt (veteran journalist, publisher of the Alabama Political Reporter and host of The Voice of Alabama Politics) and several others.

Comedian Matt Davis will return for a repeat performance as MC.

The No Kings III rally and march “is part of a nationwide day of action in response to President Trump’s targeting and racial profiling of families, arrests and detentions without warrants or due process, suppression of elections, dismantling of environmental and worker protections, censorship, and the growing use of militarized force against U.S. citizens,” the organizations shared in their press release.

“A nation born out of protest should not fear protest,” said JaTaune Bosby Gilchrist, the executive director of the ACLU of Alabama. “Yet lawmakers in Alabama and Washington are actively seeking to make it harder to bear witness to and speak out against injustices across our communities. This rally is our opportunity to stand up, demonstrate our collective power while exercising our constitutional rights peacefully and without apology.”

“The Trump regime is doubling down on fear and force to intimidate communities and silence dissent. What we are seeing in Minnesota is a tragic example of that, with immigrant families and Black and brown communities being terrorized. From Alex Pretti to Renee Good to the tens of thousands showing up in subzero weather, we are also seeing a massive movement of brave people standing up for their neighbors and against this regime,” said Ezra Levin, co-executive director of Indivisible. “Now, it’s on all of us to show up and to stay nimble to meet the threats of this regime in real time. No Kings is not just a slogan or a single day of action. It’s a principle we carry every day as we stand in solidarity with communities being harmed and confront authoritarianism wherever it shows up — from Los Angeles to Minneapolis.”

The ACLU of Alabama and Birmingham Indivisible stated that the No Kings III event will be peaceful, nonviolent, and open to all ages and communities.
