The Alabama Republican Party will open online qualifying Tuesday, July 7, for people seeking to serve as delegates to the Republican National Committee Midterm Convention.

The convention will be held September 8-10, 2026.

Qualifying for congressional district delegates opens Tuesday, July 7, at 8:30 a.m. and closes Wednesday, July 8, at 5 p.m. Qualifying for at-large delegates opens Tuesday, July 7, at 8:30 a.m. and closes Sunday, July 12, at 5 p.m.

The qualifying fee is $200 and is nonrefundable. Delegates elected to serve will have the fee credited toward convention-related expenses.

Voting will take place in two rounds. Members of each congressional district will vote online to elect their district delegates and alternates, followed by a statewide online vote to elect at-large delegates and alternates.
