Rep. Terri Sewell

U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell, D-Selma, will host a live telephone town hall on Tuesday to discuss how to lower costs during the holiday season.

The event will be titled, “Lowering Your Costs This Holiday Season”. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. CST and to potentially receive a call constituents should register in advance on Sewell’s congressional website. Another way to join the event is to dial in at (855) 933-0831 at 6:30 p.m. when the event starts.

Sewell, along with some special guests, will tell constituents about the federal programs and resources they can access to help save money during the holiday season. The discussion will likely include how constituents can get assistance paying rent, can obtain affordable healthcare coverage going into 2024 and how they can lower their internet and energy bills.

At the end of the event Sewell and the guests will participate in a Q&A session and answer questions from the attendees. The event is part of Sewell’s “Congress in Your Community” tour as the congresswoman plans to host event in the 14 counties encompassing the 7th Congressional District.
