Rep. Barbara Drummond launches 2025 campaign for mayor of Mobile

The Mobile mayoral election will take place on Aug. 26, 2025.

State Representative Barbara Drummond officially launched her campaign for Mayor of Mobile on Sunday with a kickoff event at St. Peter Baptist Church, where an estimated 125 supporters gathered to hear her vision for the city’s future.

“This campaign is about bringing Mobile together—every neighborhood, every family, every small business—and making sure no one is left behind,” said Drummond. “I’m running for Mayor because I believe in Mobile’s potential, and I know that when we work together, we can build a city where everyone thrives.”

Drummond, a lifelong Mobilian with experience in public service, highlighted key priorities for her campaign, including economic development, public safety, and investment in every neighborhood. She emphasized her commitment to leadership that puts people first and ensures that Mobile moves forward together.

Rep. Drummond currently represents Alabama District 103. The Mobile mayoral election will take place on Aug. 26, 2025.
