John Jacobs, a self-described lifelong conservative and Republican candidate for Alabama House District 37, has received the endorsement of Alabama Citizens for Life ahead of the June 16 Republican primary runoff election.

Alabama Citizens for Life is the state affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee. The group’s president, Dan Gardner, recognized Jacobs as a “Pro-Life Leader” and urged voters in House District 37 to support him in the runoff.

Jacobs is a longtime Randolph County resident with a 40-year career in education, including 31 years as a school administrator. He most recently served as superintendent of Randolph County Schools. Jacobs, a cattle rancher and pecan grower, said he is running on a platform of “limited government, educational excellence, defense of constitutional rights, and pro-family traditional conservative values.”

“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement from Alabama Citizens for Life,” Jacobs said. “As a conservative Christian, husband, father and proud grandfather, standing up for those who are unable to stand for themselves has always been among my most strongly held beliefs. I look forward to continuing that fight when I serve the people of District 37 in the House of Representatives.”

The primary runoff election is Tuesday, June 16.
