The Baldwin County Legislative Delegation announced Friday the appointment of Miles McDaniel as chief of staff for the Baldwin County delegation.

McDaniel is a lifelong resident of Baldwin County and brings more than 16 years of leadership and management experience to the role, the delegation shared. From 2013 to 2022, he served as public affairs manager at Riviera Utilities, where he worked extensively in community outreach, public engagement and strategic leadership.

From 2022 to 2025, he served as business coordinator of R&R Design, his family-owned business, further expanding his leadership experience and community involvement.

In his new position, McDaniel will support the delegation in advancing legislative priorities, serving the citizens of Baldwin County, and strengthening communication between local leaders and state government.

“We are excited to welcome Mr. McDaniel as our Chief of Staff,” said Representative Matt Simpson, delegation chairman. “His experience, knowledge of our communities, and proven leadership will be a valuable asset as we continue working on behalf of the people of Baldwin County.”
