The event will mark the first anniversary of the IVF Immunity Act.

Fight for Alabama Families, FFAF, is hosting its 2025 Advocacy Day this Thursday, March 6, at 9 a.m. The rally will take place on the front steps of the Alabama Statehouse.

The event will mark the first anniversary of the IVF Immunity Act. Advocates, patients, doctors, and elected officials will be the featured speakers.

“Last year, countless patients, doctors, and families came together and successfully fought to pass the IVF Immunity Act, but our job is not done. Our mission remains: full and permanent protection for IVF in Alabama,” said FFAF Founder Corinn O’Brien. “IVF advocates must continue to make our presence felt and our voices heard until that mission is completed.”

The speakers will include FFAF Founder Corinn O’Brien, Speaker of the House Nathaniel Ledbetter, Representative Terri Collins, Dr. Mamie McLean of Alabama Fertility Specialists, and IVF advocate and patient Jamie Heard.

During Advocacy Day, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with their legislators and discuss IVF access and why full and permanent protection is vital to our state.

The Fight for Alabama Families Coalition was founded after the Alabama Supreme Court’s ruling jeopardized access to IVF in the state. FFAF mobilized thousands of advocates across the state and country, including 350 individuals who traveled to the statehouse to tell legislators their stories and sent over 33,000 emails.
