Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth has endorsed Judge Chris McCool for the Alabama Supreme Court.

“I’m honored to have earned the trust and support of Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth,” McCool said. “He is a man of great integrity, and his endorsement is one I highly value. With nearly three decades of experience as a lawyer, prosecutor, and judge, I believe I am equipped to serve the great people of Alabama as a Supreme Court Justice, and I am thankful that Lt. Governor Ainsworth believes that, as well.”

McCool is seeking the Republican Party nomination for an open seat on the Alabama Supreme Court in the March 2024 primary election.

This seat is currently held by Associate Justice Sarah Stewart, who recently announced that she is running for chief justice at the conclusion of her six-year term.
